Alan Duncan
CEO
As CEO, Alan is driving Interventek's strategic growth through broader commercialisation of the company’s well access valves and the development of new technology and service offerings. A key focus is on the transfer of skills and technology into related energy sectors. Alan has a wealth of expertise, gained in a variety of senior executive, commercial and operational roles for well-known industry players, such as Zetechtics, Fugro, Aker Kvaerner, Hydril and ABB. With over 30 years’ commercial experience he has worked internationally throughout his career on major projects across Europe, the Americas, Australasia, Africa and the Middle East.
John Sangster
Technical Director
John is a founding director of Interventek, and co-originator of its revolutionary valve technology. He previously worked at Enovate as Lead Design Engineer from 2003 until its sale to Aker Solutions in 2013.
With a BSc in Mechanical Engineering and a focus on innovation, compliance testing and problem solving, John’s extensive career in the oil and gas industry has included senior design, engineering and management positions at companies such as BJ Services, SSR International, Coflexip Stena Offshore (Technip), Xtreme Well Technology and Expro North Sea.

Ryan Strachan
CFO
As our Chief Financial Officer, Ryan is the financial and administrative lead at Interventek and is heavily involved in our commercial and strategic development. His background includes senior accountancy and commercial advisory roles both in the UK and Australia. Following eleven years at Ernst and Young, Ryan served as CFO at SPEX, a downhole energetics business backed by the Business Growth Fund, which was sold to a trade buyer in 2025. Ryan was then able to join Interventek full time after a lengthy period of fractional advisory support.

A senior engineering specialist and technical authority with over 20 years' experience in the oil and gas industry, Deryk maintains a keen solution-driven focus on subsea well access and intervention challenges. His career spans senior roles and team leadership positions at Baker Hughes, FMC Technologies and KVC UK Ltd, where he managed the successful delivery of system engineering projects, new technologies and complex equipment packages.

Sales & Business Development Manager
Craig brings over 25 years of strategic growth experience to Interventek, gained in management and business development roles across the energy sector, including Aquaterra and Oil States Industries.
With a background in engineering and solving operational challenges, Craig supports Interventek and its clients to grow global market share and strengthen competitive positioning, through its differentiated technology and engineered solutions.
