£3,500 donated to local Befriend a Child charity after team fundraising at the Aberdeen Kiltwalk
Thank you! We’re delighted to share that we’ve raised an incredible £3,500 for local charity Befriend a Child.
Our intrepid ‘Interventrekkers’ took part in the 18-mile Aberdeen Kiltwalk challenge in June, generating kind sponsorship donations of over £2,700 so we thought it only right to round it up. Some of our Interventrekkers are pictured here, handing over the cheque to Jenna Simpson, Senior Fundraising Coordinator at Befriend a Child.
The weather was on our side as the team joined more than 5,000 participants, all walking in support of causes close to their hearts. It was a fantastic day spent in great company and beautiful surroundings, and while there were a few sore feet in the office the next day, it was absolutely worth it.
Befriend a Child supports children and young people growing up in difficult circumstances. They match children with trained volunteers to help them develop new life skills, make happy memories and achieve their potential: www.befriendachild.org.uk
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported our fundraising efforts. Your generosity will make a real difference to this charity and the important work they do in our community.
